Joe,
Hi there I have caught some of your TES ICT Blogs, great to hear from you - we are quite excited by the opportunities that Web 2.0 tools will give us to communicate to the world we podcast as http://cefnfforest.podomatic.com, and we have just started a class blog http://cefnfforest.learnerblogs.org - so as you can see from this we/I think that the benefits for pupils work is potentially huge - mostly from gaining a 'real' audience for their written and spoken work - the skype link is just amazing - I participated in the final 24 hour skypecast of the recent k12 online conference and that has certainly fired me up to do more - I have chatted with Terry Freedman about skyping and recording our pupils asking him questions for future publication - this stuff can take over if your not careful though!!!
Best wishes Paul

oops podomatic link needs to be
http://cefnfforest.podomatic.com/ in order to work!!!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your comment. Do you know you can use Pretty May to record Skype conversations? It works like a treat. Here is the link: http://www.prettymay.net

Best wishes

Joe

Yes I have Pretty May running on my main pc - I know that my friend Allanah King in New Zealand uses something similar as she recorded our recent skype conversation and has used some of it plus some podcast bits in her latest podcast at http://allanah.podomatic.com/ , I podcast inmy own right rather pretentiously as The Podfather at http://podfather.podomatic.com/ it's my alter ego!!!! I think.
Paul

Cheers for the links Paul,

Great to meet up with another UK blogger. I look forward to catching your podcasts in the future.

Best wishes

Joe
