Promoting the potential of podcasting in Kent schools

To encourage colleagues to start podcasting with their pupils, Jason Dilling a Leading Teacher for ICT in the Tonbridge area in Kent has produced a simple guide and set of screencasts for the new podcasting software Podium which he has been helping to promote in Kent since March. The podcasting project is still in its early stages, but Jason feels excited about how it could develop in the future with the right support.

I first heard about Jason and his work on podcasting when researching the recent Harnessing Technology in Kent Schools Conference which showcased some great podcast examples from Sussex Road Primary School where he teaches and Downs Primary School the home of Downs FM, a radio show organised by a team of Year 5 DJs and their teacher and ICT coordinator Mark Warner.
