Being off school with a bug is not the ideal way of celebrating one's birthday, but nevermind, these things can happen, I guess. I'm sure the rest will do me good and fingers crossed I'll be back to work on Monday.
Drinking plenty of liquids, catching up on sleep and watching daytime television has certainly helped to pass the last three days relatively smoothly, but simply doesn't compare to the cut and thrust of a typical day at school.
Now officially in the last year of my thirties, I can reflect on what I've achieved so far in my life and look forward to hopefully an even healthier future. Indeed. Time will tell.

Thanks for all your kind messages. I'm back at school today feeling better than I did last week, but not 100%. I think the leurgy has been doing the rounds recently and my colleagues wouldn't have appreciated it if I'm come back too earlier and given it all to them!
