Flickr Creative Commons Attribution
When users upload their digital photos to Flickr they can choose to apply a Creative Commons licence to their images which means they give permission to others to use the pictures in their blog posts as long as attribution is clearly stated.
To make this process easy John Johnson has created Simple CC Flickr Search which generates the necessary html code you need to make attribution clear for posting on the web.
An advanced search in FlickrStorm also allows you to look for CC images you can use for educational purposes or otherwise.
To understand how Creative Commons work, have a look at this great clip Wanna Work Together? which explains the main principles.

I also use Flickrcc to find photos with cc licence.
