Using SkypeOut credit with Utterli

This is a test to see if I can use SkypeOut to leave an Utterli audio post on my blog by cross posting from my account.

Australian language teacher Jess McCulloch is currently out in China on a trip with her students and instead of always blogging with her mobile phone is using SkypeOut credit from her laptop to cross post audio messages to her Utterli account, Twitter and blog simultaneously. Way to go Jess!

Inspired by this impressive moblogging prowess, I've just added the UK number to my contact list in Skype and tested the service myself. As you can see below, it worked and only cost a few pence to boot.

Jess has also been using the new Utterli desktop client to write short blog posts and receive Utterz from her followers.

As you can see from the image below, I'm trying it out too.

Jess and I have also added the Utterli player to our respective blog sidebars which means anyone can listen, watch or read our Utterz as soon as they are sent. Don't they look cute!

The only issue I had with using Utterli as opposed to services like Gabcast + Podcast Pickle is that you don't seem to be able to listen to your recording before you send it or if you make a mistake and hang up it will still be sent to your blog regardless. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
