The Modern Foreign Languages Environment has added some downloadable plays in French, German and Italian designed for use in the classroom. Written by David Phin, Modern Languages at Primary School (MLPS) tutor from Dumfries and Galloway and Alison Hurrell, University of Aberdeen, the short dramas cover Christmas and fairytale themes such as Cinderella, Three Little Pigs and The Emperor's New Clothes.
To get ideas on how to use drama in your teaching, there is a lesson pack to accompany the German play Kranke Tiere and some useful notes on using plays to help pupils' 'experience' language. The free downloads can be found under the Creative Learning section of the MFLE site
