Speaking at the sold out ALL London January Event yesterday was a real privilege. It was brilliant to see a hundred and twenty MFL teachers willing to give up their Saturday morning to come to The London School of Economics and hear Rachel Hawkes and Leigh McClelland from Comberton Village College in Cambridgeshire speak about Music, song, rhythm and movement in language learning as well as my own talk Whizzo ICT Ideas.
Helen Myers, superb compere/photographer and ALL president elect captured the warm and relaxed atmosphere beautifully with her Photo Story of the event with Nick Mair, MFL HoD at Dulwich College shooting some lively footage from the front. Click below to see the results.
As normal I recorded the audio of my session which went without a hitch apart from a few mobile phones going off and the odd 'intentional mistake' which I think I may have got away with, fingers crossed. My presentation is here to download too which includes my email address. So you can get in touch if there is anything you get stuck with or you want to share your ideas. You can also peruse the comprehensive accompanying weblinks below and have hours of fun trying the ideas out for yourself. For those who couldn't attend, here is a sneak preview of my 'top ten this week'.

I think that your ALL session on Saturday in London just might have turned on my department to the full beauty of using ICT in MFL - and NOT for just run-of-the-mill stuff! This is no mean feat! Go, you! :)

Dear Joe
I am writing to you on behalf of the new Oxfordshire ALL network. We have had our launch earlier in January and currently looking forward to the OUP event before the Language World conference. We would like to put on another meeting before the end of this academic year and were wondering whether you would be happy to inspire us here in Oxford with your ICT and language skills...
Thanks and i hope to see you in Oxford

Hi Rene,
Thanks for your comment. I'd be delighted to come and run a session for ALL Oxford in June or July although it would have to be a Saturday. Hope we can sort something out and I look forward to meeting you at Language World.
It may be better to carry on this conversation by email.
Best wishes
Joe
