Still buzzing from last weekend's eTwinning conference in Brussels and the potential of Flashmeeting as a simple videoconferencing tool, I'd like to propose a meeting on the theme Blogging and Podcasting: Creative and personalised ways of engaging and extending your pupils in the modern foreign languages classroom for 8th March 2007 at 8.00 GMT.
To take part, click on the following link just before the meeting begins and make sure you have a microphone or better still a webcam connected and the latest version of Macromedia Flash installed on your computer. The meeting will be recorded (video, audio, text chat) and can be accessed on the same link used to join.
To test your connection, click here and to try a demo session, click here
Flash will ask if it can access your microphone and webcam, click on allow. If your webcam is connected you should see yourself on the screen. Click on the test button and speak. You should see the volume indicator go up and down. If your microphone and/or webcam doesn't work, click on the relevant settings button and then the drop down menu. Try different options from where your audio and video come from until one of them works. For more information about flashmeeting, click here. To make the Flashmeeting full screen, click on Fill Window.
See you on the 8th!
hum... I might have a look, I have a parents evening until 7ish so I might catch the last half hour. Do you have to log in at 7:00 or can you log in anytime during the meeting?

Hi Esther,
I've had an email from Jen Sutton who also can't join the conversation until later. So I've changed the start time to 8.00 as this seems to make sense.
Hope that helps

I'd be really keen to hook into the meeting but will unfortunately be teaching at the time, seeing as in NZ we're currently 13hrs ahead - will I still be able to watch the recording of the meeting later or do I have to be "at" the meeting to do that?
Thanks

Hi Joe
