FLV Extract is a free web app which allows you to automatically extract the audio of an FLV file as an mp3 just by dropping it on to its interface. As YouTube clips are saved in this format and can be downloaded with tools such as Real Player 11, Zamzar and KeepVid, I can see this being a useful way of obtaining authentic listening material from the target culture.
Download the program from here, right click it, select Extract All, run the file and then drop your file on to the FLV extract dialogue box (see above). The mp3 file will then appear next to the original file. To extract more audio, just run the file again and repeat the process.
Hi Joe,
ThanX for this hint.
Have a look at
http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-to-MP3-Converter.htm
which IMHO is a bit more comfortable. Fortunately it is f.o.c. as well.
Hope it helps!
