Terry Cooper project manager of the CILT Video Case Studies Project Using ICT effectively in the teaching of MFL visited Nodehill today to discuss how to best capture on film my suggestion of using podcasting, interactive exercises and whole class teaching with PowerPoint to enhance the 'difficult to teach' topic of conjugating er verbs in French.
The ten minute clip which is scheduled to be published this Spring on the CILT/ALL Languages-ICT website will feature a Year 7 group in both my classroom and one of our ICT suites. There will also be a short interview in which I will explain in more depth the sequence of steps leading up to the podcasting lesson and the ways in which techniques such as podcasting can be successfully integrated into one's own teaching repertoire.
Although it was rather a flying visit, Terry and I covered a great deal in the short time we had and I am now really looking forward to seeing how the case study takes shape in the forthcoming months. Click on the link below to hear more details about the project from Terry himself.
