Strip Generator is a free web service for making simple comic strips. Rob Courtney, teacher of French, German and English Language at King Edward VI School in Southampton has been using the site to create short conversations in German and publish them on the KES MFL Blog.
In Rob's post, he advises taking a screenshot (press the PrtScn key on your keyboard) pasting it into a photo-editing package like Microsoft Office Picture Manager, then cropping it and uploading it on to a blog. I agree with this idea because unfortunately there are some inappropriate cartoons on the main site and this removes the temptation for pupils to search them out.
My advice would be to take a screenshot of the large version of your strip which you can launch by clicking on its thumbnail and then not resize it before putting it on your blog so that by clicking on it again, it will be easy to read. See example above.
Have a look at Toonlet as an alternative to Strip Generator. It looks good too.
