The advantage of converting short video clips you shoot on a digital camera or mobile phone into wmv format is that you can then edit them in Windows MovieMaker and embed them into a blog. Xilisoft video conversion software is ideal for this as it encodes clips in a variety of formats such as mov or 3gp and as long as the movie is not more than 5 minutes in length, it is free to use.
The above clip is the president of ALL, Helen Myers' Video VoxPop where she sums up Language World 2008 in her own words at the end of the two day event. The reason I didn't include this in the original post is because it exceeded the 90 second rule that Flickr has imposed on its video uploads and therefore cut out prematurely.
By converting the mov file into wmv format, I was able to embed it here by using the instructions from a previous post and changing the height and width to ="329" and "370" accordingly.
As a result, you can now hear Helen's final words in their entirety without interruption. I'm glad we got there in the end.
