Yes, it is a very easy way to create a video from PowerPoint. but as you say, it cannot remain the animations and sounds original from PowerPoint.

The program ppt to video http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com can convert your PowerPoint to Video and remain all of the dynamic elements. PPT2DVD can convert PowerPoint to DVD then you can play your PowerPoint on DVD player with DVD menu and DVD remote control

Thanks for your comment. I'll certainly check out PPT2DVD and I think the idea of converting PowerPoints to DVD is great.

The idea of pupils downloading films and playing them on their computers or handheld devices is also very exciting for personalising their learning.
