In this short clip, Susan Fitzell from AIMHI Educational Programs explains how to set up a Google Alert to track keywords whenever they appear on the web. As she explains this could be useful for research purposes, lesson planning or to find out who is writing about you and what they are saying!
A handy tool for blogging to be sure.
And it works, too! I just got a google alert that my name appeared in this blog. That's how I found this blog entry so quickly. Thanks, Joe, for sharing the video!

Hi Susan,
Thanks for your comment. I find RSS and Google Alerts invaluable for the sort of research I do for this blog.
It's also very useful for finding out if someone has written about you on the web. Technorati RSS alerts are good too.
:)
