Stephan Rinke has created a movie clip to show how the text to speech tool Xtranormal can help students practice role plays in the languages classroom. He presents a convincing argument and gives a range of examples.
However, considering the amount of inappropriate content on the site, I would not want to put these ideas into practice unfortunately which is a shame. Thanks for sharing.
Hi there! I am working at Xtranormal. First, thanks for visiting us and using Xtranormal technology. Second, we are committed to the Education world and are looking at ways to restrain inappropriate content exposure to kids. We are opened to your comments so e-mail us while we are still in beta: [email protected]. And remember: if you can type, you can make movies!

Hi Hugues,
Thanks for your comment. I really like Xtranormal and feel it has a lot of potential for language learning.
It would be even better if you could upload a mp3 file which would automatically lipsync with the different characters in your scene.
That would be awesome.
