Hi Joe. This was a real surprise to see my video here! Just a factual point. I'm no longer at Ecclesbourne. I have branched out on my own to work in primary school MFL. See you at the TeachMeet at BETT next week?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your comment. Great PowerPoint tip. See you at TeachMeet next week.

Thanks for these great tips... just to let you know I'll be spreading them around the TEFL world too!

Cheers!

Am re-motivated to do exciting PPT stuff. Thanks so much! Have also been inspired to blog (if indeed this is a verb?). Excited to get back to school next week and try out more stuff!!
Thanks

With "floating tools" on the Smartboard, you can use the conventional spotlight tool over a Powerpoint. I am pretty sure you can do this on all versions of the Notebook software by customising your floating toolbar from the menu.

With the Promethean Active studio software you can also customise the floating toolbar to allow you to use the spotlight tool over Office applications.

The powerpoint solutions are very neat but quite time-consuming if you already have the other software installed!
