For the last week or so I've been checking out the fabulous Podcasters' Emporium podcast from the Lifestyle PodNetwork which features some great discussions and tips on taking your podcast to the next level. Launched by James Williams in December 2007, the first nine episodes are a welcoming introduction to the enthralling world of podcasting and feature a range of interviews from different Australian enthusiasts in the field.
At the turn of this year, James decided to take on a co-host Dave Gray from the Aussie Geek podcast for Episode 10 and this has changed the dynamic of the show a little as it now seems less scripted and more spontaneous than before. Their impassioned delivery is very engaging as is their interesting use of informal language and Australian colloquialisms such as 'the duck's guts' meaning something is awesome.
I've certainly learnt a lot over the 13 episodes to date and I would recommend anyone interested in issues such as planning your podcast, microphone technique and using a mixing desk to have a listen. Episode 4 on online privacy is particularly thought-provoking.
For feedback, you can join the Podcasters' Emporium Facebook group, follow the show on Twitter or James' and Dave's personal accounts, Skype them on podcastersemporium or send the show an email. The duck's guts indeed!
Thanks for tuning-in to the show, and for writing a review for Podcasters' Emporium on your site.
We are pleased to be the 'ducks guts' of podcasting, and look forward to any questions your readers may have about any aspect of podcasting.
Between us Dave and I have 10 years of combined experience with the technology, so there isn't much we don't have an opinion on, or can help you out with.
I have recently removed the earlier episodes from the Podcasters' Emporium feed, to avoid confusion between the two styles of show, but the earlier episodes will still be available for download from the individual episode notes in the blog.
The show will eventually cover all aspects of podcasting from the technical side, through marketing, to community building, and we hope it will become one of hte most comprehensive resources for podcasters in the world - that's our goal anyway.

Hi James,
Thanks for your feedback. I really like both versions of the show and look forward to listening to future episodes.
I think you are catering for a niche group of podcasters who are confident in producing audio, but want to become more professional in their output.
It would be interesting too to hear how podcasting is being used in education in Australia. I know Stephan Ridgway is an expert in this field.
I'm sure the Podcasters' Emporium will become an even more valuable resource in the future. Keep up the good work.
