Having organised The Isle of Wight Conference for the last three years, I've decided to have a break and promote its sister event The MFL Show and Tell instead which will still give language teachers the opportunity to meet up and share good practice, but won't be a huge drain on my time and energies.
Following a Twitter exchange last weekend with various MFL colleagues from around the country, we were able to sort out a convenient date and venue with particular thanks to James Padvis for arranging the latter.
So if you fancy coming to The 6th Form Centre at Foxford School and Community Arts College on Saturday 14th November for some great informal CPD, then just sign up on the wiki and bring along £10 because that is all it will cost you! There will be wifi available and plenty of electrical sockets so feel free to bring a laptop too. You could be asked to run a session or workshop in true unconference style.
The Isle of Wight Conference may have run its course, but The MFL Show and Tell 09 will hopefully keep its spirit alive and build on the community it tried to nuture. See you on 14th!
Hat tip to @josepicardo, @spanishsam, @amandasalt. @mrslwalker for spreading the word on Twitter ;)
